GymAmor ("we", "our", or "us") operates the GymAmor iOS application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account Information — Name and email address provided through Apple Sign In.
• Workout Data — Exercises, sets, reps, weights, workout duration, and program progress that you log within the app.
• Health & Fitness Data — Data read from or written to Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission, such as active energy, workout records, and heart rate.
• Body Metrics — Weight, body fat percentage, and other measurements you choose to enter.
• Profile Data — Athletic profile, training goals, sport, and equipment preferences.
• AI Coach Conversations — Messages you exchange with the AI coaching feature.
• Location Data — Approximate location used solely for gym discovery, collected only while the app is in use and only with your permission.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the GymAmor service.
• Power the AI coaching feature by sending your messages to our AI provider for processing.
• Track your workout history, personal records, and progress over time.
• Show nearby gyms and fitness centres via gym discovery.
• Enable optional social features such as the activity feed and leaderboards.
• Communicate with you about your account and app updates.

3. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — Cloud database (PostgreSQL) and authentication. Your account data, workout logs, and cloud backups are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI coach conversations are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not retain your conversations for model training. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.
• Apple HealthKit — We read and write health data only with your explicit permission. HealthKit data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for purposes beyond providing the GymAmor service to you.
• Apple MapKit — Used for gym discovery. Location queries are processed by Apple's mapping services.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in two places: locally on your device via SwiftData, and in the cloud via Supabase (PostgreSQL). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With Anthropic's API to process AI coach conversations (not retained for training).
• With other GymAmor users through opt-in social features (activity feed, leaderboards). You control what is visible via your privacy settings.
• When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of GymAmor or its users.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app.
• Export your data — Request a copy of your workout data by contacting us.
• Opt out of social features — Disable the activity feed, leaderboards, and public profile visibility at any time.
• Revoke HealthKit access — Manage permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

GymAmor is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or on our website with a revised effective date.
